I didn’t realize this video was 6 years old. Anyways this is pretty much the reason I continued to snowboard back in the day (6 years ago I guess). Back when snowboarding was dominated by the OG’s it was more of a backcountry scene that you would watch in videos. Don’t get me wrong there was urban jibbing, but it felt like in order to be a snowboarder you had to send huge backcountry jumps. Which looked really fun, but was always more of a dream like maybe if I get better somehow I’ll be able to do that stuff. When Jed Anderson came out with this video (which was apparently filmed in 3 days) it opened my mind up to the potential of being able to snowboard. I was witnessing a skinny dude doing arguably the most stylish/technical tricks I’ve ever seen. It was at that moment that I realized skinny dudes can still snowboard and have fun, and it’s been history ever since.
Almost every trick in this video is done with skate style that looked so fun to be able to do. If you pay attention to what tricks he does regular/switch you will be surprised. Jed Anderson pretty much started a revolution after this video and it’s not hard to tell a lot of kids took notes. Safe to say Jed is the king of skate style snowboarding and continues to push the game with every part he drops. Do some homework and buy some Videograss movies.
